Here is a very good egyptian revival clock circa 1890 from mitchell & vance ny. This clock is probably spelter case, incredible details as you can see very well done and high quality, the movement needs work, the clock will run only maybe 20-30 seconds, there is a pendulum but no key, when trying to wind it does not there both tight, we didnt try cleaning or doing anything like that. It runs and strikes at the top of the hour counting off the hours. Has a 8 1/2 inch movement. Case showing average wear for a clock over 100 years old. Dial was replaced with a paper dial. Clock measures 21 1/2 inches tall, 14 1/4 inches wide. It was missing the bezel and glass. I will pack with plenty of insulation to insure safe transit. Face is approximately 6″ diameter and is marked “Seth Thomas. Clock has a wooden case. Wood finish is in good cosmetic shape overall, with no chips or cracks, some scuffs/scratches due to normal use. The door on the back of the clock has paper instructions which references clocks equipped with No. 4300, 4500 and 4600 Series. 8-Day Pendulum Strike Movements in Tambour Cases. We do not know for sure whether this clock is one of these models. The movement is marked “4606” Tested working.
