Beautiful antique Seth Thomas mantel clock. Circa early 20th century, roughly 100 years old. Clock works fine – both spring mechanisms wind perfectly (time – counter clockwise, chime clockwise). Note winding in incorrect direction will disable spring. 8 Day clock winds perfectly. Middle key setting on face adjusts time faster/slower and will require some fine tuning to correct time. I found it was off by about 1-2 minutes per day. Mechanisms seem to be in great working order. Includes pendulum and key. Clock measures 10″ tall x 19″ wide x 5 1/2 deep. This item shows overall wear including scratches, discoloration, parts of the label are missing, this item is missing its pendulum, staining, chips to the veneer, one of the top pieces of trim is loose, the face of the clock sits loose, and there is dirtiness found; this item is not currently in working condition. This is a really nice hard to find antique Seth Thomas 8-Day chime Adamantine six full pillared mantel clock. This is a very hard to find model in this configuration as most of these type clocks have only four pillars or half pillars. The code on the bottom of this clock (5091D) would date it to April 1905. This baby is circa 1863, has its original key, winds, ticks and chimes beautifully. The door lock works, the original label visible on the inside and though the face has wear, I find the patina stunning. This listing is for a gorgeous antique mantel clock by Seth Thomas & Sons (retailed by Mitchell Vance & CO). This one is quite grand looking and utilizes cast metal for its French style case. The 15 day time/strike clock movement was last serviced in 2017. We tested it recently and it ran and chimed (half hour and hour bell chime). Clock appears to be in overall good condition. A few tiny micro chips around the keyholes of the dial. The angel statue has one slightly damaged index finger (see photos). This clock comes with its pendulum.
