Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine? Mantle Clock Maple Light Color Wood Not Working. You are looking at a vintage Seth Thomas mantle clock. This one is the lighter color which I assume is a maple. The front cover opens but you have to align the catch part when closing. It is off by an 1/8. The key is included. I wound it and started the pendulum swinging. Beautiful antique Seth Thomas mantel clock. Circa early 20th century, roughly 100 years old. Clock works fine – both spring mechanisms wind perfectly (time – counter clockwise, chime clockwise). Note winding in incorrect direction will disable spring. 8 Day clock winds perfectly. Middle key setting on face adjusts time faster/slower and will require some fine tuning to correct time. I found it was off by about 1-2 minutes per day. Mechanisms seem to be in great working order. Includes pendulum and key. Clock measures 10″ tall x 19″ wide x 5 1/2 deep. It has been refurbished and runs fine and keeps time near as I can tell as I watched it for a full day. May require cleaning or adjustment to be perfect. Case in beautiful condition with minor wear.
