Antique Seth Thomas Gingerbread 8 Day Clock From Metals Series with Key. This clock is a bit of a Frankenstein when it comes to the frame. There is a Seth Thomas model #8981 that has a different metal applique design but is almost identical in every other apect. This one’s woodwork has been repaired/replaced. The lower side pieces look to be a different tone of wood than the movement/pendulum housing. The top section with the metal applique is also a different tone and it has been repaired as well. Original cord and plug is missing. Opening glass in front. Front has beautiful decorative inlay. Clock keeps time, but Westminster Chimes are not functional. Approximately 101/2″ tall, 81/2″ wide, 6 deep. Mahogany body has a few minor surface flaws, but is in overall great condition for being around 80 years old.
