World War II Era. Dated October 1942 on the movement. The case appears to be a black Bakelite? 7 3/4 inches in diameter. The matte black 24 hour dial is stamped US NAVY 24902-E MADE BY SETH THOMAS IN U. 6 inches in diameter. The movement is stamped 10-42 MADE IN U. 5164 The clock is in good working order. Comes with a correct size key. The only flaw is a tiny chip on the back edge as shown. Not sure why the prior owner put duct tape on the back. Beautiful Seth Thomas Vintage Mid Century Modern Atomic Space Age Starburst Clock – Quartz. This is a vintage clock and is the “Picturesque” model #E626-000. It has a little different design than most starburst clocks in that the (24) wood spires get wider as they go away from the face and they extend slightly outward from the center. It is in overall excellent condition. The diameter is approx. 21 1/2″ and it is about 2 1/2″ deep. There are a few small spots and some discoloration on the face but it still looks very nice. This is a Seth Thomas Eclipse wood wind up wall clock. The number on inside edge of the door is marked No. There is a broken corner of the glass (see picture) this clock also has a bell, the bell winds but does not have a stop and it just runs out as soon as you stop winding it and the striker does not hit the bell. The hands on the clock are secure they do not fall when they reach 12:00. There is no damage to the wood case. The clock comes with the key.
