Antique Seth Thomas Beehive Wood Mantel Clock with Key & Pendulum WORKS. The glass face cover is missing. Some scratches on wooden case, damage/repair at the 12 o’clock position on the porcelain face (photo 14). Clock works, keeps time and chimes at the 12 & 6 o’clock positions. The mechanism is marked ST 48R (photo 11). Key & Pendulum included. Clock measures 11 1/2″ tall x 7 1/4″ x 4 1/2. Weighs 4 pounds 9 ounces (prior to packaging). Beautiful estate find Seth Thomas brass clock. I tested this for 12 hours. It seemed to keep accurate time within a minute. However, after 12 hours, it didn’t keep accurate time. I’m sure it needs a clockmaker to adjust the mechanism. Also, check out all the detailed photos to get an idea of the overall quality and condition of this clock. Vintage Seth Thomas Mantle Clock see (Video). The right side needs to have a shim under it for the clock to continue running. The gong for the hour and half hour is backwards. Time seems to be fast, think its because of the raising of the side? The weight is not included. I had to borrow one from a friend who also has a Mantel clock, so I had to give it nack. The clock is in excellent condition, runs well (see video), and includes a key (the key is not original to the clock).
