Seth Thomas Mantel Clock Vintage w/ 4606 8-Day Movement & Tambour Wooden Case This is a Seth Thomas mantel clock. It measures approximately 14″x4″x 8 1/2. Face is approximately 6″ diameter and is marked “Seth Thomas. Clock has a wooden case. Wood finish is in good cosmetic shape overall, with no chips or cracks, some scuffs/scratches due to normal use. The door on the back of the clock has paper instructions which references clocks equipped with No. 4300, 4500 and 4600 Series. 8-Day Pendulum Strike Movements in Tambour Cases. We do not know for sure whether this clock is one of these models. The movement is marked “4606” Tested working.

There are two cracks in the case see pictures. I do not know the running condition because I don’t have the key. Clock face cover appears to need new gasket because it comes off easily. I’ve seen these finials on the early Seth Thomas off center pendulum Pillar & Scroll clock, and Few later models. Those were first produced around the 1818 era. FOR THE FEW WHO HAVE A SETH THOMAS OFF CENTER PILLAR AND SCROLL CLOCK WITH REPLACEMENT FINIALS. THESE WILL AND ALOT OF VALUE TO YOUR RARE CLOCK. I’M LOOKING TO FIND ONE OF THESE RARE CLOCKS. IF I FIND ONE. I’D BE KEEPING THESE FINIALS.

This is a beautiful antique Adamantine mantle clock in great working condition it measures about 16″ wide 7″ deep and 12 tall. It works well and chimes.

Originally patented in 1921. This movement is stamped 115 D 4703 with the Made in USA ST geometric stamp. Ad by Seth Thomas Reads. Silverplated dial has numerals etched in black. Precision made 11-jeweled movement with temperature compensated escapement and Breguet hair-spring. 5? Back Diameter. 5? Face frame Diameter. Weighs 5 lbs 13 oz.
