This is a celluloid finish that in the catalogs is described this way; “the finish is very durable and cannot be scratched or dented by any ordinary usage”. The best I can tell, this is a fully functional piece. It was last serviced in 1992 by the West End Watch Jewelery & Clock Repair Company. It comes with the key, and the clock.
