This is a nice example of a SETH THOMAS Sonora 2 bell ding dong strike mantle clock. It has its original ADAMANTINE finish that really only has a couple small nicks on the top corners. It has been running strong and striking correctly for several days. It looks to have been cleaned and lubricated not too long ago. It does have its original back wood cover with a rough label intact. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Time, Strike and Alarm Steeple Clock Circa 1882. It has the original signed Seth Thomas 8 day time, strike and alarm movement that is in really nice condition, not showing much sign of wear at all. It is still running, keeping time and gonging properly. It has the original label inside with a sale sticker pasted over it dated 1882. The reverse painted bottom glass depicting an 1800’s lady appears to be original. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Time and Strike Clock Serviced & Running. Here is a neat looking clock made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and serviced and is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. On an antique cathedral style gong and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is in nice condition.
