I picked this up some time ago I believe from upstate New York. I liked the overall look and the fact it is a Seth Thomas which along with Ansonia are always desirable and it is very original. It as the additional alarm with the half hour strike and the proper number on the hour plus it has very low wear on the movement bushings. The case is very non repaired looking and all in all in very good condition plus guaranteed to be a good runner. This is a nice example of a SETH THOMAS Sonora 2 bell ding dong strike mantle clock. It has its original ADAMANTINE finish that really only has a couple small nicks on the top corners. It has been running strong and striking correctly for several days. It looks to have been cleaned and lubricated not too long ago. It does have its original back wood cover with a rough label intact. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Time, Strike and Alarm Steeple Clock Circa 1882. It has the original signed Seth Thomas 8 day time, strike and alarm movement that is in really nice condition, not showing much sign of wear at all. It is still running, keeping time and gonging properly. It has the original label inside with a sale sticker pasted over it dated 1882. The reverse painted bottom glass depicting an 1800’s lady appears to be original. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and serviced and is in good running and gonging order.
