Dial has some moderate wear, and light fading commensurate with age and use, but it displays beautifully in my opinion. 1880’s, Seth Thomas, CT, 8 day, 2 weight clock movement with original mounting bracket and original pulleys. This movement was used in clocks such as the Lincoln and Garfield models. The movement is signed with the Seth Thomas name, logo and’14. The movement is complete, all gears are good. Each train moves easily with finger pressure. Rare and hard to find! 5 Adamantine Mantel / Shelf / Cabinet Clock that needs repaired. This clock has two complete movements inside the case. The movement closest to the dial keeps the time and strike. The second movement runs the Westminster Chimes. The chime movement works but the other movement needs a mainspring repair as it will not stay wound. I don’t know if it’s just something loose, needs a clamp, or the extent of the repair but my expertise is not in fixing mainsprings. Beautiful rosewood case with minor nicks, chips and scratches (see pics), original reverse glass, original top glass, both iron weights, pendulum and 30 hour oiled works, with alarm mechanism.
