This antique pendulum wall clock with a unique second hand is in very good condition and working. It has some ware from age and use but a minimal amount for being over 100 years old. The Seth Thomas movement is marked with an 80. After research, I think that this clock was made in the late 1800’s though I don’t see any markings on the back indicating the year it was made. This clock is huge, I bought it thinking it was a normal size when in fact its nearly as tall as two normal bottles of wine! The casting is sublime, its cold painted and bronzed, the ladies expression is very peaceful and serene, the hair is what I love the most, how it becomes part of the clock and can be seen from all angles. The veneer is tight to the case and nearly perfect for a 194 year old American antique. The old hands are delicate and the original hand painted wood dial is well preserved.
