VINTAGE SETH THOMAS U. NAVY SHIPS CLOCK NO. 25544-E, WWII NICE TIME PIECE.. From a collector estate is this very nice US Navy Ships Clock. I wound it up and it starts right up, I have not checked it for accuracy. The glass is original, the cork seal is all good. Just an amazing piece for any collector! My research says that there is a serial # on the movement that can be sent in to check it’s origin etc. I have not done that but it would be a great project to find out! For sale is a large size Victorian mantle Ogee clock in its original wooden case, made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company. The clock is weight driven, instead of spring driven, which explains its large size design. The original Seth Thomas label is still present and quite complete and readable from the interior of the clock. The clock is complete (with pendulum, the winding key, and two weights) It winds, ticks and chimes (on half and full hours) as it should.
