Beautiful Seth Thomas Vintage Mid Century Modern Atomic Space Age Starburst Clock – Quartz. This is a vintage clock and is the “Picturesque” model #E626-000. It has a little different design than most starburst clocks in that the (24) wood spires get wider as they go away from the face and they extend slightly outward from the center. It is in overall excellent condition. The diameter is approx. 21 1/2″ and it is about 2 1/2″ deep. There are a few small spots and some discoloration on the face but it still looks very nice. Here is a large cleaned and serviced Seth Thomas movement stamp with a patent date of Dec 28, 1875. There is also a stamp that reads either FOA or FQA. It is mounted on a board with a pendulum and chime rod. It has a seconds bit, chimes on the hour, runs well and keeps good time. A fun conversation piece. Like a skeleton clock! The movement plates measure about 4″ W at the top and 5″ W at the bottom and 7 1/2 high. The width including the gears is 7 1/2.
