Seth Thomas Santa Fe Clock. A rare clock from the city series with a very ornate case. The back is stamped 5881J which I believe means it was made in October of 1885. Has a paper label inside that is partial intact. 22 tall, 13 wide, 5 deep. I wind it and it kept accurate time for several days. The top portion of the decorative carving was broken off at some point in this clocks life and was glued back in place. The front glass does not appear to be original. This is a cool antique Seth Thomas mantle clock! The clock is 20 and 1/2 inches wide, 10 inches tall and 7 inches deep, heavy clock. The clock movement is the desirable higher quality model 113. Needs cleaned and a little maintenance. The wood case has the original finish and is in good condition. The dial is metal and in very good condition. Glass over the dial is beveled and in good shape. The front bezel and rear door both operate correctly. The pendulum and key appear to be original to the clock. Up for consideration is a Seth Thomas Adamantine mantle clock circa 1880 model #102. It is decorated with green faux marble accents with elaborate brass columns, and brass Lion’s head handles on both sides. The clock measures approx. 16 1/2 inches wide 11 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches deep. The clock DOES NOT come with a key. When the pendulum is removed and the lever at the top is pulled the clock will run its full course. In other words the hands rapidly turn as it winds down.
