This is not the smaller 4 case model. This is the larger 7-5/8 case model. Would guess from design that the clock was made prior to WWII. The clock works as it should and keeps accurate time. The clock has scuffs and scrapes and patina indicative of its age. There are also traces of red paint on the housing. The face of the clock has the following words and numbers on it; Mark I – Boat Clock US Navy, N 20645, 1942 Made by Seth Thomas in U. The clock key is also included. The following words and numbers are inscribed on the key; West-Germany HR752 280.

Helmsman Brass & Wood Base: E537-007. Brass 24HR Clock with Chime: 1004-001. I dont have the key so I cant test the clock, the Barometer has moved in the past days so I think that is working. The Barometer was a little loose on the base, there are only 2 screws that hold it and the clock to the base. I also found 3 of the 4 screws were short ones, so I would recommend replacing them with a longer one, see last pic. I wiped down the brass lightly with a cloth, mostly to remove the dust.
