Movement is a Seth Thomas 8-day time and strike movement with a bell chime which strikes on the half hour and a deep gong which strikes the hour. Springs appear to have good power and visually appear to be in good condition. Also has a fine time adjustment arbor on the front, below the center shaft. Movement runs and chimes. Gorgeous 8-Day clock by Seth Thomas. This old piece has been in our family for generations, and is looking for a new family to enjoy it. It does include the key, and when wound it keeps decently accurate time. Note it is an 8-day clock, so if you want to use it for time you will have to wind it! Actually belonged to a very well known Rhode Island mobster who passed away. This is a gorgeous antique Seth Thomas clock from the late 1800’s. The clock is working/running and the bell/gong are fully functional. I ran the clock for about two days and it is losing about 10 minutes every 24 hours. May need a few adjustments.
