Vintage Seth Thomas, Northbury 1-E, model E704. From the description on the inner label has a B-1700 series chiming movement. Appears the power cord was replaced at some point and wire nutted with a replacement cord that includes a resettable fuse. Clock has been tested and works! Chiming mechanism has a slide switch to lock the chime and keep it from chiming. Includes a small key for setting adjusting the time/chime if necessary. Antique Seth Thomas Sonora No. 5 Chiming Shelf or Mantel Clock, Adamantine finish with 90D movement. Excellent condition, keeps good time, chimes properly, but needs work. Case in fantastic original condition, with no cracks, splits etc. Very minor wear with age. The original convex crystal is in perfect condition with good hinges and latch. The dial is showing some wear and discoloration. Needs a few repairs/adjustments. The hourly strike mechanism is not working. The spring is broken or detached. The pendulum hanger is just slightly too long or adjusted too low. I decided not to try adjusting the length of the hanger because I was afraid of damaging the works. […]
