Up for sale is this Rare Antique Seth Thomas Brass & Copper Ships Clock Style Mantle Clock with a 6 Dial. This model has the 105 Platform Escapement Movement. But it was fully wound and not ticking for the past few years Ive owned, it was not until I moved the hands to hear the strike that it started running, which to me indicates it needs at least a cleaning and servicing. Up for consideration is a Seth Thomas Adamantine mantle clock circa 1880 model #102. It is decorated with green faux marble accents with elaborate brass columns, and brass Lion’s head handles on both sides. The clock measures approx. 16 1/2 inches wide 11 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches deep. The clock DOES NOT come with a key. When the pendulum is removed and the lever at the top is pulled the clock will run its full course. In other words the hands rapidly turn as it winds down. This is a very nice 1908 Seth Thomas Long-alarm clock mounted in a beautiful, rare brass case. I have had this clock for years and have never seen one in a case like this one! The clock has been serviced and runs and operates perfectly. The movement shows little or no visible wear. It runs for 8-days on a wind. These clocks do not chime the hour, but have a very long lasting, loud alarm that rings on a bell and will go for about 45 minutes unless you shut it off. Up for sale is this Early Antique Seth Thomas Brass Marine Lever Locomotive Or Ships Clock. A key will be included. This clock was restored by a previous owner and they mounted the dial to the sides of the case in a way that in order to get to the movement you have to remove the the brass tacks or nails and pull it out the back (after removing the hands).
