Antique Seth Thomas Norfolk V. City Series Clock 1878 Serviced & Running. This impressive looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. USA right around 1800. The original signed painted dial boasts a patent date of 1878. The original movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and serviced so the clock runs good, keeps time and chimes properly, counting each hour on a nickle plated bell. The case is constructed of solid walnut and is in overall nice condition. The original finish is well aged and worn giving it an authentic rustic appearance. It was handed down from generation to generation in the same family. I have the service paperwork which will come with the clock. Does come with key. Was made Circa 1880s and more than likely it was used in a school house. This model does not chime. Keeps accurate time for about a week before needing to be rewound. Approximately 26 in Long and about 14 in wide. A beautiful timepiece and a nice piece of History. A survivor that has withstood the test of time. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine 6 Column Mantle Clock Rebuilt 89C Movement. Condition is very nice with a few flaws as normally seen on clocks of this age. Most notably the faux marble finish is lifting on one corner of the right side column base, and a chip in the finish on the lower left side. It looks like the gold has been repainted on the columns capitals and bases and the front feet. The rest of the case is very nice with a good shine and minimal defects. All original except for the key this clock is in working condition with normal ware from use and age. It rings a bell on the half hour and chime strikes the time on the hour. It does need service. It has not been serviced in over 20 years. There is still part or most of the original label on the back. It is almost 17″ wide, 11″ tall and 7 deep. Up for sale is this antique Eco Magneto Clock Company time recorder, when the watchmen would check in at various locations in the building this was the central device recording it all. A very important part of American Industrialism. This is a parts or repair project, the movement needs a complete overhaul, and the key is also missing. In Thomaston, Connecticut during the early 1900’s. This clock is in a red, wood-grain style Adamantine finish which may have been designed to simulate rosewood.
