I bought it at an estate sale and I don’t know much about clocks but I’ll tell you what I do know. It does wind when I turn it (in other words, the key is the right size). When I push the pendulum, it works just a little and then slows down and stops. One time it actually ran for 10 minutes but then stopped. The pendulum looks great. On the clockwork lower right is the number “4½” which I’ve read is the pendulum length. On the clockwork is also “Made in USAmerica” and the Seth Thomas Logo. Measures approximately 18 inches in total length including the bottom feet by 7 inches wide including the bottom feet by 11 inches tall including the bottom feet. Exterior is moderately dirty and dusty throughout. Exterior shows moderate to heavy surface scratching, scuffing, general wear, paint wear and brown discoloration throughout. The brown discoloration is very heavy on the top throughout. There is a pencil eraser sized veneer flake on the center of the top. There is a silver dollar sized stain along the top center. Offered is a beautiful antique Seth Thomas Adamantine mantle / shelf clock with lions heads. It is in great condition as shown. It measures 17″ wide, 11″ high 7 deep, runs perfectly and keeps good time. The little bell rings softly on the half hour and it softly chimes appropriately on each hour. Here is a good antique 8 day 4 bell Sonora Chime mantle clock, with two movements marked Seth Thomas Clock Company , in very good condition, with handsome admantine case and time and chime movements. Running and chiming on four tuned bells correctly, but running a little fast due to incorrect pendulum weight. A handsome, fine mantle/table clock with key. I have had this clock for many years and it has always ran strong. I have never done a timing test. It has a great sound. The face has a chip around the keyhole as shown, also the case has a few small chips also shown. Neither of these takes away from this great clock. I will package it to the best of my ability.
