We did not have a key but we tested this by placing the pendulum on and it appears to run under its own power, but we make no guarantees. There are some next to the case as you can see in the photos. Antique Set Thomas #102 Adamantine Lion Head Mantel Clock. The clock runs and functions properly. It measures approximately 16 1/2″ wide x 11″ tall x 6 1/2 deep. The dial is in nice overall condition with normal wear. It appears that along the way someone may have touched up the numbers on the dial. The glass is in good shape no chips or cracks. The wood case has some nicks, scratches and light fading due to age as seen in the pictures. Original sticker still on the bottom of the clock. I test them for 48 hours. Antique Seth Thomas Sonora No. 5 Chiming Shelf or Mantel Clock, Adamantine finish with 90D movement. Excellent condition, keeps good time, chimes properly, but needs work. Case in fantastic original condition, with no cracks, splits etc. Very minor wear with age. The original convex crystal is in perfect condition with good hinges and latch. The dial is showing some wear and discoloration. Needs a few repairs/adjustments. The hourly strike mechanism is not working. The spring is broken or detached. The pendulum hanger is just slightly too long or adjusted too low. I decided not to try adjusting the length of the hanger because I was afraid of damaging the works. […]

I don’t know anything about this. It runs, it chimes, it gongs and keeps time. It says 1880 on the label (See photo) The key is not original, trust me, I bought it at Walmart. There is a serial number and some signatures on it as well. A little wear on one side – see picture.
