The case and finish are in very good condition with very few marks. The finish displays well. The 4.5 ornate dial, 5.5 bezel and glass are all in very good condition. The dial is a replacement dial. The 8 day brass movement is clean and works correctly. Keeps accurate time and correctly strikes on a bell every half and on a gong every full hour. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine 8 Day Mantle Clock 1890’s Serviced & Running. Here is a nice condition “Adamantine” finish 8 day time and strike mantle clock made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. In Thomaston, Connecticut during the year 1899. It has a very unusual black and white marble-look Adamantine top and trim against the solid black Adamantine body. All of the original feet and ornaments remain and are in great shape. Everything on this clock, for the most part, is and original, including most of the original label.
