Actually belonged to a very well known Rhode Island mobster who passed away. This is a gorgeous antique Seth Thomas clock from the late 1800’s. The clock is working/running and the bell/gong are fully functional. I ran the clock for about two days and it is losing about 10 minutes every 24 hours. May need a few adjustments. This clock has been cleaned and restored to operation and would be an attractive addition to any room. THE MOVEMENT The #89 series brass 8-day time and strike movement stamped with the Seth Thomas logo has been ultrasonic cleaned, re-lubricated, and is in running condition. This Seth Thomas Mantle clock dates to around 1900. This clock was made in the United States of America. Original Seth Thomas 4 ½ movement has been completely overhauled and is in working condition. Movement taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, repairs made as needed, new springs installed, lubricated and tested. Includes key and pendulum. Cabinet is the original Adamantine finish that was only used by Seth Thomas. Cabinet was cleaned and polished. Considering the age, it is in exceptionally nice condition.
