Up for sale is a beautiful Seth Thomas Mantle Clock. It also chimes marvelously. This item has been previously owned. And shows wear from age/history and is. Fragile in some places. As you can see it wants to run. See tape measure for dimensions. Will need servicing and looks like the crutch was repaired. Case has wear and a few small pieces of veneer missing but not bad at all for its age and is very solid. Label is all but completely gone but I think the style of label puts it around early 1850’s. This Seth Thomas was repainted by someone so I just cleaned up the case. Movement was cleaned and oiled with a new suspension spring put in place. Counts the hour with a bell on the half hour. You may have to reset and adjust the timing on this or any spring clock. They are all cleaned and polished without using polyurethane. Check out my other items! Measures approximately 18 inches in total length including the bottom feet by 7 inches wide including the bottom feet by 11 inches tall including the bottom feet. Exterior is moderately dirty and dusty throughout. Exterior shows moderate to heavy surface scratching, scuffing, general wear, paint wear and brown discoloration throughout. The brown discoloration is very heavy on the top throughout. There is a pencil eraser sized veneer flake on the center of the top. There is a silver dollar sized stain along the top center. Seth Thomas City Series Parlor Clock Omaha model with alarm. This clock keeps perfect time, it has been running in my shop for over 30 days. It chimes on the half hour and chimes the count on the full hour. The alarm rings a nickel bell. The chime has a beautiful tone watch the video below to hear it.
