Up for sale is a Rare Antique Seth Thomas Automatic 8 Day Long Alarm Clock. This one is the Grand model. The clock features brushed copper casing, an ornately footed base, and an alarm movement. A note inside indicated that it was last serviced in October of 2016. When tested, both springs wound and the clock ran. However, any insight on how to test the alarm? World War II Era. Dated October 1942 on the movement. The case appears to be a black Bakelite? 7 3/4 inches in diameter. The matte black 24 hour dial is stamped US NAVY 24902-E MADE BY SETH THOMAS IN U. 6 inches in diameter. The movement is stamped 10-42 MADE IN U. 5164 The clock is in good working order. Comes with a correct size key. The only flaw is a tiny chip on the back edge as shown. Not sure why the prior owner put duct tape on the back.
