Used on US Navy ships during and after World War 2. This clock is in very good condition and running strong keeping excellent time. There are a few scratches on the case and crystal. The dial is dated 1943 and the movement is dated January 1944. The metal shock mount is missing, but the hinged back plate is in very good condition. The clock measures 8 3/8″ at the widest point across the back, the dial is 5 1/2″ dial, and the case is 4 deep. Please look at the pictures, they provide the best description. This is a beautiful vintage Seth Thomas Westminster Chime 8-Day Mantel/Shelf Clock. It is Tambour Shape clock. I think it is Model 59. It has a silver tone dial. The face is marked “Made by Seth Thomas in USA”. On the back of the clock works is’Made in USA” “ST” mark and “119A. There is silent/chime lever on the back. Based on the label and some research I believe this clock is 1905 or 1906. Measures 15″ x 6″ x 11 and weighs 8 pounds. Original, full label on the back. The clock does’tick tock’.
