Untouched original with excellent patina. Key and pendulum included. Not tested, is presumed to need adjustment or servicing.

Seth Thomas antique original mantel clock movement stamped 89C. Movement has been disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned. Springs cleaned fresh oil and grease. Movement has had 4 new bushings installed. Arbor to arbor 3 1/8. Arbor to center shaft 2 inches. Center shaft to f/s adjustment 3/4. Strikes the hour on a gong. Half hour on a brass bell. Will come with suspension rod, pendulum and key. These are very delicate time pieces, i level them in my test stand and adjust the beat. VERY NICE SETH THOMAS 89AL CLOCK MOVEMENT, REPAIRED AND SERVICED WITH NEW MAINSPRINGS AND NEW SUSPENSION ROD. THIS MOVEMENT HAS BEEN DISASSEMBLED, ULTRASONICALLY CLEANED AND ALL PARTS POLISHED, DAMAGED OR WORN PARTS ARE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. BUSHINGS ARE REPLACED AS. MAIN SPRINGS WERE UNWOUND. THE MOVEMENT WAS THEN REASSEMBLED, OILED AND SET IN BEAT. THE TIME AND STRIKE FUNCTION AS SHOULD CLOCK GONGS THE HOUR AND THE 1/2 HOUR. Seth Thomas 12 Antique Drop Octagon Wall Clock, 8 Day Movement’WORKS’. But doesn’t keep accurate time.

Seth Thomas “PARMA” 8 day Time and Strike. Fantastic Movement Excellent condition. Appears previous owner had it professionally cleaned and serviced not long ago. The case is sound. The finish is slightly crackled and a few dings and bumps. Flame Mahogany with beautiful Inlays. Case would benefit from a good polish. Dial looks real good, we do not see any chips or cracks. Beyond rare and hard to find alone is a set of early original Seth Thomas urn style finials. These came off an early on the Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll clocks just after their earliest wood finials, 1820’s. The base and spiral style top are turned cast brass. Bowels are two piece spun brass. The steel posts are just under 1/8 dia. With just a few threads on the top of the rods. They show some rust and tarnish which they should for their age.
