(July 1939) stamped inside case. Mechanical, 8-day, dual mainspring (time + strike). Bulkhead or wall-mounted, typical of naval installations. Manufactured in July 1939, this clock predates the U. Entry into WWII and reflects Seth Thomas’s early naval production standards. This feature is consistent with pre-war naval clocks designed for both function and discretion. 1927 Seth Thomas Eight Day Ships Bell Clock & Barometer. Working

(Springfield StormOGuide)This exquisite timepiece strikes the hour and half-hour, marking up to eight bells. Both items have three mounting holes and the front glass unscrews for winding or cleaning. These are in excellent condition, with all functions operating perfectly. This clock and barometer have a rich history, having originally been on my grandfather’s sloop from 1929 to 1980, and then on my father’s Endeavour 36 from 1980 to 2000. They are currently displayed on a handmade mahogany stand built by my father, which is included.
