Here is a recent estate find. It has a Round Porthole Nickel Plated Brass Case. The Dial is the Original Silver Metal Dial with Black Numerals and “Seconds Sweep” Hand, signed “Seth Thomas USA”. This has a Signed Brass Mechanical “Time Only” Regulator Key Wound Lever Movement, in Good Working Order, signed Seth Thomas Thomaston Conn. Antique Seth Thomas Norfolk V. City Series Clock 1878 Serviced & Running. This impressive looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. USA right around 1800. The original signed painted dial boasts a patent date of 1878. The original movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and serviced so the clock runs good, keeps time and chimes properly, counting each hour on a nickle plated bell. The case is constructed of solid walnut and is in overall nice condition. The original finish is well aged and worn giving it an authentic rustic appearance.
