The Chime was being finicky but I think it got it all worked out. Still running and chiming hours later. A beautiful clock but some damage in veneer on outside as well as some peeling of the paint. Turn of last century Umbria wall clock for parts or restoration. Circa 1890’s, Seth Thomas Clock Co. 15 day time only, Umbria wall clock. Movement: Original 15 day double wind movement. Springs, and gears in good condition. Could use a good cleaning. Ticking, but untested further. The paint was flaking badly, so I refinished it. Case: Oak with oak veneers in original finish. Although the surface finish has some bubbling of the finish, the veneer and wood are well adhered. Nicks and scrapes commensurate with age. Original door locks work well, tip of finial is missing. Beautiful LARGE wall clock made by SETH THOMAS. Most likely made in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. 37″ tall, 15″ wide, and 5 1/4 deep. Looks to be made of solid CHERRY and all original. Condition: The glass has absolutely no cracks or chips and has antique waves and bubbles. The cherry has no major chips or cracks.
