This is a popular example of a Seth Thomas 8 day larger size mantle clock. A black finish Adamantine mantle or shelf model. It does run and the strike is working correctly. HOWEVER = At this time it has run for a full 8 days and the time is within a few minutes a week. It has the back wood cover and door. This is a very attractive and desirable Seth Thomas Adamantine which I enjoy purchasing and working on because Seth Thomas made very high quality movements and pioneered the sort of veneer over wood look that looks great. This is not a top of the line adamantine but has a very decent look going with the lions heads tan beige marble tone and good looking bezel. But the dial does have cracks around the winding ports. Original Seth Thomas long drop regulator clock. In very nice shape. All original as far as I can tell. It is currently not running but if I swing pendulum it does keep time for a minute or two with second hand and minute hands both moving as should. This is fresh from a multi generational New England estate where it spent its life with the same family. Ill do my best to answer any questions.
