I don’t know anything about this. It runs, it chimes, it gongs and keeps time. It says 1880 on the label (See photo) The key is not original, trust me, I bought it at Walmart. Up for sale is a Rare Antique Seth Thomas Automatic 8 Day Long Alarm Clock. This one is the Grand model. The clock features brushed copper casing, an ornately footed base, and an alarm movement. A note inside indicated that it was last serviced in October of 2016. When tested, both springs wound and the clock ran. However, any insight on how to test the alarm? Antique Black Seth Thomas Mantel Clock Label #102 Eastlake style Rare. Very nice looking clock. Has storage dust and light shelf wear. Appears to be complete, including the original back, rear label, key and a pendulum. Measurements: 13.5″ across, 10.5″ height, 6 width. The clock currently does not run. The newspaper that the key and pendulum were wrap in was from June 18th, 1965. There is a note stating that this was a wedding present to a family member roughly 90 years ago.
