This is an early Seth Double dial with flat top and lower bezels. Most have rounded bezels. 8 day weight driven lyre striking movement is complete. The photos show the veneer loss. Body made in the late 1800’s. Looks to be made of walnut… Please see pictures and use your best judgement. FANTASTIC DESIGN THAT IS HARD TO FIND. 11 1/2″ wide, 19 1/2″ tall, and 5 deep. The wood body and glass is in great shape with no cracks or chips. The face has a couple age spots that are hard to see with the door closed. The door closes and locks in place with its original lock. No loose wood sections. It runs for a short time only so may need oiled. The reverse paint on the glass looks fantastic with no wear. Vintage 20 Seth Thomas COMPLETE Camelback Wood Chime Wind Up Mantel Clock w Key. General Used Condition as Pictured. Runs for about 5 Minutes and then quits. This may be a leveling issue, probably just needs some tinkering. The chimes work great but I think they may need to be synced up better. The double hammer kinda confused me.
