This Seth Thomas Mantle clock dates to around 1900. This clock was made in the United States of America. Original Seth Thomas 4 ½ movement has been completely overhauled and is in working condition. Movement taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, repairs made as needed, new springs installed, lubricated and tested. Includes key and pendulum. Cabinet is the original Adamantine finish that was only used by Seth Thomas. Cabinet was cleaned and polished. Considering the age, it is in exceptionally nice condition. Rare antique Seth Thomas 8-day 8 bells Sonora Chime Mantel Clock. It have two movements, one for time and strike on the hours, other for chimes on the quarter hour. Seth Thomas Prospect No. Fully and properly overhauled, serviced and tested No. 89 Seth Thomas Time and Strike movement. The movement appears to be original to the case. Case finish is original with some alligatoring which attests to the clocks true age. Nice contrasting light wood marquetery against brown mahogany finish. It has a date stamp on the bottom of the case which indicates this example was manufactured in January of 1917. Pendulum Bob and winding keys are appropriate replacements. This Seth Thomas Mantle clock dates to around 1920. This is a Cymbal #6 model with the original #89L movement. This clock was made in the United States of America. Movement has been completely overhauled and is in working condition. Movement taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, repairs made as needed, new springs installed, lubricated and tested. Includes key and pendulum. Movement is a double strike movement. It single counts the hour on the hour, does one double strike on the quarter hour, two double strikes on the half hour, and three double strikes on the three/quarter hour. Based on the label and some research I believe this clock is 1905 or 1906. Measures 15″ x 6″ x 11 and weighs 8 pounds. Original, full label on the back. The clock does’tick tock’.
