This Seth Thomas Mantle clock dates to around 1920. This is a Cymbal #6 model with the original #89L movement. This clock was made in the United States of America. Movement has been completely overhauled and is in working condition. Movement taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, repairs made as needed, new springs installed, lubricated and tested. Includes key and pendulum. Movement is a double strike movement. It single counts the hour on the hour, does one double strike on the quarter hour, two double strikes on the half hour, and three double strikes on the three/quarter hour. Based on the label and some research I believe this clock is 1905 or 1906. Measures 15″ x 6″ x 11 and weighs 8 pounds. Original, full label on the back. The clock does’tick tock’. This is a very attractive and desirable Seth Thomas Adamantine which I enjoy purchasing and working on because Seth Thomas made very high quality movements and pioneered the sort of veneer over wood look that looks great. This is not a top of the line adamantine but has a very decent look going with the lions heads tan beige marble tone and good looking bezel. But the dial does have cracks around the winding ports.
