Movement is a Seth Thomas 8-day time and strike movement with a bell chime which strikes on the half hour and a deep gong which strikes the hour. Springs appear to have good power and visually appear to be in good condition. Also has a fine time adjustment arbor on the front, below the center shaft. Movement runs and chimes. Beautiful antique Seth Thomas mantel clock. Circa early 20th century, roughly 100 years old. Clock works fine – both spring mechanisms wind perfectly (time – counter clockwise, chime clockwise). Note winding in incorrect direction will disable spring. 8 Day clock winds perfectly. Middle key setting on face adjusts time faster/slower and will require some fine tuning to correct time. I found it was off by about 1-2 minutes per day. Mechanisms seem to be in great working order. Includes pendulum and key. Clock measures 10″ tall x 19″ wide x 5 1/2 deep.
