Antique Seth Thomas 8 day mantel clock, circa 1890s. Victorian and Grecian styling with Corinthian columns along the front and ormolu mounts. Topped with an Art Deco stag finial and marbled accents. Antique Seth Thomas Mantel Clock. Beautiful clock with metal vents on sides. Top right hand of clock is missing piece of wood, easily remedied. When I first received clock this week, I couldn’t get it to continously tick, I came to realize that the mechanical part was cocked slightly, after grabbing the glass face door, and gently turning it slightly, it’s been continously running now for days keeping good time. The mechanical part inside is round, unlike most which are square, and has an ST and a number 5 on it. It wouldn’t chime at first, but with a couple adjustments, it chimes just fine.
