Here is a beautiful Adamantine clock made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. Original signed Seth Thomas movement. Made in 1900 as marked on the bottom of the clock. The “Adamantine” finish, which is a patented laminate finish first used in the late 1800’s, is in very good shape. See photos and judge for yourself. The dial and solid brass bezel assembly appear to be original. The brass bezel and the dial have some tarnish from age. Rare Antique SETH THOMAS SONORA CHIME Mantel CLOCK. Has date of Feb 18 1908. Sometimes it will stop, I’ve gone in sneak moved the pendulum and it starts back up again. Has been keeping time for 10 hours straight so far. I believe it needs some tuning on the chimes. Sometimes they will go off. This is a Seth Thomas Belmont No. It was made in 1910 and is a Time and Strike 8 day clock. Its 89AL movement is a workhorse and used in a lot of ST products so there are plenty of parts if service is needed. This particular movement is very clean and looks to have been well maintained. It kept excellent time over the 3 week testing period with a nice beat rate and no time variations. A clock of this age will normally have a few issues.
