The matte black 24 hour dial is stamped US NAVY 24902-E MADE BY SETH THOMAS IN U. 6 inches in diameter. The movement is stamped 10-42 MADE IN U. 5164 The clock is in good working order. Comes with a correct size key. The only flaw is a tiny chip on the back edge as shown. Not sure why the prior owner put duct tape on the back. Seth Thomas movement in brass. (only a few hundred were made). Minor superficial scratches barely visibles in front acrylic. It is in working, running condition but need clean service. Overall dimensions: outside diameter. Movement controlled by Elgin escapement. But seconds shaft in excellent condition. Please look at all pictures carefully for condition of dial and case. Case is in excellent condition hinge and locking both functioning great. Look at picture of dial to determine age wear. Not bad for 76 years old. Winding key will be included. WWII Seth Thomas Merchant 14 day Ships Clock. I got it three weeks ago. It has run off and on for up to 2 days, and its not running now. It may just need a service and polish. There are 9 service inscriptions on the back of the case (the most Ive ever seen) starting from 1942, 43, 44, 48, 50 etc (see photos) so it could date back to the 30s. Comes with original key.
