This is a celluloid finish that in the catalogs is described this way; the finish is very durable and cannot be scratched or dented by any ordinary usage. The clock has a fully and properly restored model 89 movement, a workhorse in the Seth Thomas line from 1907 until the 1930s. I cannot find this clock in any book, it has the full side columns and large half columns like Shasta, Sucile and Sibyl but the top is very different than any of those models. This clock has some of the extras not found on all of the No. 91 Chime clocks, including beveled glass and the gilded Mayland Chime bar. The case is made of mahogany and the original finish is in very good condition with a slight crazing that is consistent with shellac finishes of this age. Clock has a Beautiful Fully Restored Mahogany cabinet with natural patina left, excellent condition. Offered with the original Seth Thomas Porcelain dial with Arabic Numerals, solid brass bezel and glass. Clock movement was completely overhauled, cleaned and oiled for another lifetime.
