Seth Thomas Westbury Antique Mantle Clock – Clock Works – Chimes Not Working. Made around 1940 I’m guessing. I have added a 5′ cord to plug into a standard electrical outlet. Original cord and plug is missing. Opening glass in front. Front has beautiful decorative inlay. Clock keeps time, but Westminster Chimes are not functional. Approximately 101/2″ tall, 81/2″ wide, 6 deep. Mahogany body has a few minor surface flaws, but is in overall great condition for being around 80 years old. This is a vintage Seth Thomas clock in Steeple design and marked 5005. I believe it is Mahogany. I know Nothing about these old clocks. It has the pendulum and key, is running and the chime strikes. Although it seems to run fast for a while and then stop. The face is in good condition and there is no damage to the glass or wood. I do not know how to get into it to see the workings.
