Offering this rare and beautiful Art Nouveau mantel clock by Seth Thomas. It features a lithe fairy figure on one side of the clock’s pillar and a cherub on the other side. The fairy has a realistic face and body and moth-like wings, and the cherub is a typical Cupid-style figure with a mandolin. There are Art Nouveau motifs throughout, from the sinuous feet to the pebbled texture of the pillar to the windblown ribbon to the scrolls and roses on top. You are looking at an. Antique Seth Thomas Reverse Print Mantel Clock. The clock is around 14.5″ tall, 10.25″ wide, 4.5 deep, all sizes approximate. The clock does run, but the time accuracy hasn’t been checked. Comes with pendulum and key. Original paper is still inside the clock. The clock’s case is in good condition. Seth Thomas Eight Day Kitchen Mantel Clock. I have not wound up the bell ringing side to test it. Not sure of its age but knowing where it came from in South Dakota I guess it is very early 1900’s. You can see in the photos that the veneer on the face has been lost in several areas. The decorative metal pieces are age oxidized.
