This one is huge- oversized even and weighs a ton. For size comparison, we placed a bottle of windex in some of the photos (windex not included). Seth Thomas Eight Day Kitchen Mantel Clock. I have not wound up the bell ringing side to test it. Not sure of its age but knowing where it came from in South Dakota I guess it is very early 1900’s. You can see in the photos that the veneer on the face has been lost in several areas. The decorative metal pieces are age oxidized. Beautiful antique Seth Thomas mantel clock. Circa early 20th century, roughly 100 years old. Clock works fine – both spring mechanisms wind perfectly (time – counter clockwise, chime clockwise). Note winding in incorrect direction will disable spring. 8 Day clock winds perfectly. Middle key setting on face adjusts time faster/slower and will require some fine tuning to correct time. I found it was off by about 1-2 minutes per day. Mechanisms seem to be in great working order. Includes pendulum and key. Clock measures 10″ tall x 19″ wide x 5 1/2 deep.
