Antique Seth Thomas “Queen Anne” wall clock, solid oak case 36″ tall 13″ wide and 5 deep and is in wonderful condition. 8-day time and strike movement with sweep second hand is very clean and runs strong. Movement is stamped with a patent date of Dec. 28, 1875, door lock is functional and there two splits to the top of the case due to shrinkage. I would date the clock to 1883. Paper dial is a replacement and pendulum rod is not original to the clock. This a great example of the Queen Anne. 1920s Antique Seth Thomas Mantel Clock Working. Displays and keeps accurate time. The clock measures 6 wide, 9.5 tall and 5.5deep. The case is in very good condition with very few marks(see top). No repairs or breaks. The 3.5dial, 4 bezel and beveled glass are all in great shape. The 8 day brass movement is clean and keeps accurate time. However, the movement does not strike each hour correctly. The movement correctly strikes once on every half hour but only strikes once at the top of every hour. This is an exquisite mantle clock, made by Seth Thomas in the Adamintine celluloid finish. The pattern is faux marble, varigated green, black and beige. This particular clock is considered rare and is highly desirable; please notice the fluted corinthian columns, layered in the same adamintine finish. Beautiful piece with granite accented base. This is really a unique clock. Its a combination of two good makers. Seth Thomas and Sessions. The dial and pendulum bob are Sessions’ and the movement is Seth Thomas. I acquired this piece at an Estate Sale so i don’t know much about it. I’m thinking at one point it was repaired hence the two different makers parts.
