We are offering this beautiful Seth Thomas Clock. The clock is an 8 day time and strike. The clock is in excellent condition and was serviced about 6 months ago and is in running order. This is one of the most beautiful clocks I’ve own and it would make a great center piece in any home or office. I’m not sure if the paints is original, but from what I’ve seen I think it is. Up for sale is a Rare Seth Thomas Antique Parlor/Mantel Clock. This one is the Garfield model, which features a 2 weight regulator movement. This clock ran when tested and chimed on the hour. We inherited a number of clocks from a late relative. His notes indicate that he serviced it in Jan of 2020 (shortly before falling ill). It appears that he was in the process of re-fashioning a replacement for the bag right wooden leg (see photos). Antique Seth Thomas Sonora No. 5 Chiming Shelf or Mantel Clock, Adamantine finish with 90D movement. Excellent condition, keeps good time, chimes properly, but needs work. Case in fantastic original condition, with no cracks, splits etc. Very minor wear with age. The original convex crystal is in perfect condition with good hinges and latch. The dial is showing some wear and discoloration. Needs a few repairs/adjustments. The hourly strike mechanism is not working. The spring is broken or detached. The pendulum hanger is just slightly too long or adjusted too low. I decided not to try adjusting the length of the hanger because I was afraid of damaging the works. […]

The instruments measure just over 6 inches across the mounting flange and stand about 3 inches from the wall. Comes with the two mounting brackets, and the thumbnail screws that lock the instruments in place. These come from a local estate, and are in wonderful condition. We put a new battery in the clock and it fired right up. Barometer seems to be falling slightly indicating changing weather, like we seem to be having!
