Inside it is marked with an ST 5165 4604. It appears to be keeping time. I have not polished it so it is slightly tarnished. There appears to be some dents/chips/flaws in the outside brass case.

I have disassembled, cleaned, oiled the movement, and have cleaned & polished the case. The dial face has a brushed stainless steel finish, and shows both 12 hr. A winding key is included for the strike & movement mainsprings. A silver custom 3D printed base is included for desk or mantle display. The clock measures 5-1/2 in diameter, and weighs just over 3 pounds.

One movement made by Seth Thomas, Ingraham, and another by Gilbert. The other movement is not marked. The movements appear to be made of brass. Movements could be either for a mantel clocks or wall clocks, not sure which. The movements’ and their corresponding parts show tarnishing and loss of finish in places. A great and rare addition to any maritime collection.

It’s in the original brass case with front glass. The movement is a double Spring movement that is original and well-maintained. However, it will only run sporadically and needs to be cleaned. The case has quite a bit of tarnish and could be polished up considerably. Please check the photos closely for additional details.

No Serial Number. Dial – signed Seth Thomas – Dial is paper – dial does have some discoloration. Black Arabic numbers – single sunk, wonderful heavy black steel hands. Solid Brass case with porthole beveled glass crystal – Front measures 6″ diameter 4″ deep – back measures 8. Movement -appears to be working when wound and chime/striker is working – not tested and can not vouch for accuracy, reliability, missing broken, or scratched parts and pieces.
