This has a Signed Brass Mechanical “Time Only” Regulator Key Wound Lever Movement, in Good Working Order, signed Seth Thomas Thomaston Conn. Antique Seth Thomas Norfolk V. City Series Clock 1878 Serviced & Running. This impressive looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. USA right around 1800. The original signed painted dial boasts a patent date of 1878. The original movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and serviced so the clock runs good, keeps time and chimes properly, counting each hour on a nickle plated bell. The case is constructed of solid walnut and is in overall nice condition. The original finish is well aged and worn giving it an authentic rustic appearance. Was made Circa 1880s and more than likely it was used in a school house. This model does not chime. Keeps accurate time for about a week before needing to be rewound.
