MARK I – DECK CLOCK. MADE BY SETH THOMAS IN U. ST / MADE IN U. The 5184 marking identifies the Seth Thomas movement type. The 10-42 marking is believed to indicate October 1942, likely related to the movement production or period service/replacement history. The clock is fully working and tested. The mechanical movement runs confidently and consistently, and the time-setting and winding functions operate properly. A correct-size brass winding key is included. Clock / front case diameter: 7.25 inches. Rear mounting housing diameter: approximately 8 inches. Navy Mark I Deck Clock. Seth Thomas, Made in U. Navy number N 4654. Seth Thomas movement No. Heavy brass front case/bezel. Original rear mounting housing. Brass winding key included. Fully working and tested. The clock shows authentic age-related patina, scratches, discoloration, surface wear, and other signs of use consistent with its age. The brass retains its vintage appearance and has not been aggressively polished. The glass, dial, case, and mounting housing show normal wear from age and use. Seth Thomas WWII US Navy Mark I Boat Clock 1941, Chrome finish, complete with original mounting plate. Used on PT Boats and Submarines. Runs and keeps good time. Dial and Chrome are in good shape. Comes with key and Oak wall mount. Dimensions: The case is 6 inches at its widest and 3.5 inches deep, the dial is approximately 3 3/4 inches. Note that WWII military clocks often contain radium on their dials for luminescence. Use appropriate caution if dismantling or servicing.

Antique Seth Thomas U. NAVY BOAT CLOCK great for restoration needs. The case has its original unpolished patina. There Is an old bump on the ring. The glass has multiple cracks. The clock dial is loose and missing the key and clock hands. Sounds like there is something loose inside that slides around when you tilt it. This will make a worthy restoration project. Check out the photo’s for condition.
