Very nice old clock. It works and is in generally good condition aside from a few scuffs and scratches associated with age and use. The case measurements are 20″ wide x 9 ¼” high x 7 deep.

Offered is this beautiful Seth Thomas Chime No. 60 produced in the year of 1939. The original dark chocolate brown finish on the Mahogany case looks great as the pictures will show. All the best features are on this model like raised trim in the front of the clock outlining the shape along the top ending at each end with distinctive moldings. Raised front panels of contrasting bird’s-eye maple. No scratches or chips are on the convex glass, one of the bezel forks to open was broken off but hardly noticeable and both front and back doors open and close properly. Another feature not found on the other chime clocks is a nice original 5 1/8-inch silvered dial with raised bronzed Arabic numbers applied to a background of harmonizing tint with fancy bronze serpentine hour and minute hands. A lot of times the tint is removed completely because of someone trying to clean the dial so finding one in this nice of a shape does not come by very often. The best sounding ST stamped chime rods are in this model which you can see and hear each quarter hour followed by the full Westminster chime in the video provided. The Westminster 124 movement has been completely rebuilt by me for many years of trouble free service. An original model label is on the bottom of the case and is in excellent condition. The original pendulum bob and original two sided key come with the clock. Every aspect of this clock is fully functional and in excellent condition. Disassemble the entire clock and movement myself completely. Install Seth Thomas parts on the movement as needed. Clean and lubricate the mainsprings for proper function of the movement. Replace all worn pivot holes with high quality Bergeon bronze bushings. Clean the entire movement ultrasonically. Clean the original dial by hand. Clean the bezel, parts and chime rods by hand. Clean the outside of the original finish by hand with mild cleaners as well as the inside and apply a coat of wax by hand. Clean the finish instead of altering or distorting the finish. This does decrease the value of a clock. Reassemble the clock, oil and lube movement in the proper places. Adjust chime and strike hammer sequence properly to assure smooth and even strikes at each quarter-hour and hour. Electronically regulate the beat and adjust the speed while the clock is level to ensure accuracy for many generations. Inspect and adjust every minor detail of the clock assuring full function and peak performance for many years to come. Test the clock for a minimum of two weeks to ensure peak and proper performance for the new owner. Smoke free, pet free home. All clocks are cleaned removing odors. Instructions for set up provided, contact number for on going support and discounted maintenance or repair for your clock. This is a full size chime clock that measures 9 ½” H x 21 ¼” W x 6 ½ D that will give your home a sense of warmth and charm complimenting any of your rooms décor with its beauty and sound. This is one of Seth Thomas’s Sonora chime clocks with the adamantine case, and 8 day movement. Cosmetically it’s very good with a some blackened corner dings and maybe a scuff or two, but nothing to point out specifically. Mechanically the clock is mostly untested. Both movements were wound and it was allowed to run while it was being listed. It chimes when the hands were cycled. This is a rare clock and not a run of the mill Sonora. It’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!

This is a beautifully restored Seth Thomas Westminster chiming clock Chime #74 from 1921. The beautiful mahogany tambour style cabinet has been fully restored and presents as it did over 100 years ago. The brass bezel has been hand polished to a shiny luster and has thick beveled glass. The original silvered dial is in good overall condition and shows some blemishes but is in better shape than most of these original silvered dials. The original #113 Westminster chiming movement has been cleaned and properly oiled and keeps very good time. The clock strikes the Westminster chimes on the quarter hour on 4 precision tuned “Mayland” Chime rods followed by the correct number of hours on the hour on a separate 5th chime rod. This can be seen in my photos as pictured in the Seth Thomas Tran Duy Ly book as it appeared in there 1921 catalog. As with all of my restored Antique clocks, I would make myself available for any help needed with setup and ongoing care. Please check out my feedback as well as my other fully retored antiwue clocks.
