Operating condition – Tested – This clock ran but did so inconsistently, would run for approx 10 mins and then stop. My guess is the movement will need a cleaning. Features – Unique and unusual decorative latched center door – Beautiful Mahogany finished decorative Case – 28″ tall X 14″ Wide – High Quality example. Antique 1882 ANSONIA Cast Iron Black Mantel Clock with Rams heads and lovely etched flowers with red inset as shown. Rare and unusual to find a rams head Ansonia this large: 15.5″ long X 9.5″ high. Great figural Rams head on each side. In good antique condition–look at photos. Beautiful chime on the hour and half hour. Key is not original but works with the clock and might be an En Welch, Waterbury or Seth Thomas key.

1880’s, Welch Spring & Co. Rosewod and Rosewod veneer in original finish. Case has complete sets of rosettes, and 3 newer finials. The door retains it’s original gold leaf designed glass. The black flocked paper is in good condition. There is wear to the black label on the back, but is still very readable. Overall, condition of the case is very attractive.
