I believe that the key is the original. Not everyone takes such care. All the clocks that I list are tested to be working for days and even weeks but some times the postal carrier is not careful and there are issues caused by the clock being jostled.

This antique Waterbury Crystal Gilt Bronze Strike Regulator Clock is a stunning piece with a Victorian style. It features a brass frame with intricate engravings and a combination of Arabic and Roman numerals on the clock face. The clock is powered by a spring key wound mechanism and has a gong chime sequence. This mechanical clock is an original piece from 1878, made in the United States, and comes with features such as an 8-day movement. The elegant gold finish and crystal design make it a beautiful addition to any room. High 10″, width 6.5″, depth 5.5. Weight 6 Lbs 10 Oz. The clock strikes on the half hour and the hours. The glass in the lower left corner has been repaired (#16), otherwise is in good condition with age gilt wear. See all pictures and video for details.
