A SUPERB IN FULL WORKING CONDITION COOL RARE MK 1 SETH THOMAS SUNBURST CLOCK. GREAT CONDITION CONSIDERING IT’S AGE. CLOCK COMES WITH THE ICONIC TEAK SURROUND AND GOLD METAL WORK. METAL IS IN LOVELY CONDITION. THE FACE DOE’S HAVE SOME DECAY /DEFECT BETWEEN THE NUMBERS 6/7 PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS. HARDLY NOTICEABLE WHEN WALL HUNG AS YOU CAN SEE BY THE PHOTOS. ORIGINAL SETH THOMAS FISHTAIL HANDS. COMES WITH A VINTAGE REAR MOVEMENT WHICH KEEPS PERFECT TIME. A FEW TEAK RAYS ARE A BIT LOSE AND WILL REQUIRE A BIT OF PVA GLUE TO HOLD TIGHT. THIS CLOCK HAS CLEARLY BEEN LOOKED AFTER AND HAS JUST BEEN REMOVED FROM A HOUSE CLEARANCE. SIZE APPROX 25 DIA. THIS CLOCK COMES UN TOUCHED AS FOUND. THESE CLOCKS ARE BECOMING VERY HARD TO FIND. Seth Thomas Starburst/Sunburst Teak Clock 1960s/70s. Stunning 26 inch (in diameter) retro clock Seth Thomas clock, made in Scotland. Overall in good condition and works well. Clock face (7 inches in diameter) and numerals in good condition (but would benefit from a polish). Metal parts have some tarnish and 3 of the 4 clips that hold the clock face in place have broken (see photos). The most recent broke when I removed the clock from my mum’s wall where it has hung for decades. I have tried sticking it back on (so it will come with the clock) but I don’t know where the other broken pieces went. Should be easy to find a repair for someone with the skills but a shame that the clips have weakened over time. As far as I can tell this is the original mechanism and still works. Will be disassembled for safer transport and packing (all teak “rays” can and will be removed from metal frame). From a smoke free home. HUGE VINTAGE SETH THOMAS TEAK SUNBURST / STARBURST WALL CLOCK RETRO 1960s /70s. No marks to clock face or numerals, in excellent condition. Stunning clock, made in Scotland. Takes 1 x 1.5v AA battery(not supplied due to post rules). Will be dispatched disassembled for safe transport and packing. From a smoke free home. Overall width = 670mm (26). I have put a new movement on with the original hands. After a clean, the original quartz movement now works again. The clock will be supplied with the original and the new movement. The new quartz movement has the benefit of an optional sweeping second hand(which will also be supplied). If you want total originality, its a two minute job to swap them over. But being nearly 50 years younger, the new movement will probably keep better time.
